Christopher Allen (left) is managing editor at Metazen, a daily ezine that publishes potential literature and book reviews. Allen is the author of the episodic adult cartoon Conversations with S. Teri O’Type (a Satire) as well as a good bit of flash fiction. His story ‘When Chase Prays Chocolate’ was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and is forthcoming in SmokeLong Quarterly‘s Best of the First Ten Years anthology. At AWP 2013, Allen won, along with two other authors, the HEAT Flash Fiction Contest; the winning story appeared in Prime Number Magazine. The author lives at the South Pole, sustained by snow and affection, mostly from penguins.

Michelle Elvy (right) is a writer, manuscript assessor and editor who floats around our oceans aboard her boat Momo. She and her family have most recently lived in tropical Pacific waters, but she dreams of Antarctica. Her professional lives have included teacher, historian, translator, editor and chief wrangler at a software consulting company. She is the co-ordinator of New Zealand’s National Flash Fiction Day (the original June 22 Flash celebration — on NZ’s shortest day of the year) and edits at  Flash Frontier: An Adventure in Short Fiction and Blue Five Notebook. A Pushcart nominee, a Glass Woman Prize finalist and a recipient of the NZ Society of Authors/ Auckland Museum Grant, Michelle is presently wrapping up a collection of short fictions set across New Zealand’s historical landscape.

Linda Simoni-Wastila (left) writes from Baltimore, where she spends her days professing, mothering, and giving a damn. Nights, she spins words into poems and stories published or forthcoming at Smokelong Quarterly, Monkeybicycle, Scissors and Spackle, Eclectic Flash, The Sun, The Poet’s Market 2013, Hoot, Connotation Press, Camroc Press Review, Right Hand Pointing, Every Day Fiction, and Nanoism, among others.
